Model C is a brazed plate heat exchanger made of corrugated stainless steel plates, vacuum-brazed with copper into a single sealed block. Compact and easy to install, with 1” connections, for domestic hot water and condensers.

Chevron angles, tuned to your duty.
Model C is available with L, H plates. L: low chevron angle, the lowest pressure drop, for high flow rates or limited pump head. H: high chevron angle, more turbulence and the highest heat transfer coefficient, for tight approach temperatures (<3 K).
The trade-off is a higher pressure drop than low-angle plates, which is why every heat exchanger is configured on your operating point.

What is a brazed plate heat exchanger?
A compact heat exchanger made of corrugated stainless steel plates (AISI 316L / 304) brazed together with copper (Cu 99.9%) in a vacuum furnace. The result is a single hermetically sealed block, with no gaskets.
How many plates does Model C have, and how do I choose?
Model C is available from 6 to 60 plates. The right number depends on the power, temperatures and allowable pressure drop of your application: send us your operating data and our technical team will size the heat exchanger.
What is the difference between the series?
DM is for water-water duties (domestic hot water); DBC is the condenser version; DS is the steam-water version. The number indicates the pressure class: 1 = 16 bar, 2 = 31 bar, 3 = 45 bar at 135 °C.
What is Model C used for?
Domestic hot water, condensers and steam duties. Model C does not have an evaporator version.
What are the operating limits?
Operating temperature from −196 to +200 °C. Maximum pressure from 16 bar (DM1) to 45 bar at 135 °C (DBC3), depending on the series.

Which connection types and accessories are available?
Connections are threaded as standard; soldered, inner threaded, welded and Victaulic® versions are also available. On request we supply brackets, stud bolts, adapters and polyurethane insulation shells.
